MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene has been affected through his worldwide reach. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in the year 2017. In Medellin, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN his debut long player. The album reached the top of the charts at number eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel for Mala Influencia and then released her debut album Dopamina the next year. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her streaming hit single Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo comes from a musical background, both his mother and elder brother are musicians. In interviews, Turizo has declared that music is a must. He began playing guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as when he was a child. The first choice for his career was to become a vet However, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn how to sing under a Cuban instructor. What happened was that he realized his talent for singing and altered the direction of his life.
